A Possible Second JoCo Cruise 2026 Sailing March 28 - April 4, 2026
TL;DR: if enough people are interested and place a $500 fully-refundable deposit , we may be able to have a new, second JoCo Cruise 2026 sailing on March 28 - April 4, 2026.
Hello, JoCo Cruise 2026 wait list members.
As you know, JoCo Cruise 2026 (sailing March 21-28, 2026 on the Nieuw Amsterdam) is currently sold out. The wait list for this sailing is also very large. VERY large.
We may have an unexpected and unique opportunity to charter the Nieuw Amsterdam for a second JoCo Cruise sailing the week immediately following—that is, from March 28 - April 4, once again out of San Diego.
While there are still many open questions about this potential new March 28th sailing, please assume the following to be true:
- It will have the same itinerary as the March 21st sailing (sailing from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas, Loreto, and Pichilingue (La Paz), Mexico)
- It will have the same retail pricing structure as the March 21st sailing
- The performer/guest lineup will likely be different, although there may be some overlap
As we work with HAL to determine whether this new second sailing is possible, we need to gauge the true demand for it. As such, if you are certain you wish to join it, starting Tuesday, April 1 at 12 noon EDT , you can go to deposit.jococruise.com to make a fully-refundable $500 deposit , and select a stateroom type (Interior, Ocean-view, Verandah (Balcony), Signature Suite, or Neptune Suite ).
Please note:
- IMPORTANT: This new sailing date on the Nieuw Amsterdam is currently available as a “regular” retail sailing. Do not book this departure date directly through Holland America (or anyone else)! "Regular" retail bookings made through HAL or third parties are not transferable to any JoCo Cruise sailing. Passengers adding bookings to that sailing right now would, in fact, further hinder our ability to secure the ship for that week.
- We can only accept credit card payments for this initial deposit. (Debit cards may be used, as long as they’re Visa/MasterCard/etc. And if this sailing gets confirmed, your remaining payments may be made using alternative means—ACH, check, etc.—as necessary.)
- The Deposit page will be open until Monday, April 7 at 8 pm EDT.
- Your stateroom type selection would allow you early access in a few weeks to book a specific stateroom of that type, before booking opens to the general public. For example, if you selected Verandah (balcony), you’ll be given the option to book any of the nine different stateroom categories of Verandah (which vary in price and maximum occupancy). However, due to various inventory availability issues, your stateroom type selection does not guarantee you a stateroom within that type. In the event your selected type has sold out before you are able to book one, you’ll be given an opportunity to select from remaining available staterooms of any type before general public booking begins.
- Please don’t place a deposit unless you genuinely intend to book this cruise, and please only select a stateroom class that you would actually eventually book.
If the new March 28th sailing is confirmed, everyone who made a deposit will get early access to complete their booking for it before booking opens to the general public. Please see our “ JoCo Cruise 2026 - Two Cruises?” Page and FAQ for pricing and further information.
We know this is all kinda bonkers-pants, and that it’s a lot to process so quickly. But we’re also very excited about the possibility of being able to share our event and this community with another whole ship’s worth of people in 2026. You certainly may have many additional questions regarding this March 28th sailing. (So do we!) Again, please refer to our “ JoCo Cruise 2026 - Two Cruises?” Page and FAQ for additional details and answers to many questions regarding this new sailing. We thank you all, as always, for your continued enthusiasm and support for this event. Lots more info to come…Soon™!
JoCo Cruise.
P.S. To be absolutely clear: no, this is not an April Fool’s joke.
