It's The Final Countdown!
Dun-nuh nuuuuh nuuuuuh...duh-nuh nuh nuh nuuuuuh! JoCo Cruise 2017 is almost upon us! Cue the synthesizers and the neon-colored polyester clothing!
The JoCo Cruise 2017 Schedule
The calendar monkeys working super-hard these past couple weeks, and are happy to announce that the JoCo Cruise 2017 Schedule is now available for public viewing!
A few notes about the schedule:
Yes, there's a pretty ridiculous amount of stuff happening.
There are more performers this year than ever before. There are more amazing Sea Monkeys sailing this year than ever before. There is an entire ship filled with things to do—no holds barred.
You may run into a situation where two or more things you really like are happening at the same time. But the flip side of that is, no matter where you turn, at almost any time, you're gonna end up doing something awesome. Difficult choices, but only great results.
The schedule isn't 100% final yet.
While the "official events" are pretty much in place, there's still some Office Hours being scheduled, and some performers/guests are still being confirmed for existing events (panels, etc.). Additionally, there's a number of Shadow Cruise events still being finalized. Shadow Master Bob (aka rhaje) is hard at work finishing off this last stretch of scheduling, and we will have it done ASAP and he will finally be allowed to see the sun again and sleep, not necessarily in that order.
But please give up special props to Bob for wrestling with the nearly 300 hours of Shadow Cruise event requests that came in this year. Yay, Bob! [party hat emoji]
The schedule is subject to change.
Because...well, because it is. Nothing is eternal.
Finding the Schedule Onboard
The online schedule will always be available to those with Internet access. Shipboard Internet, however, is not always reliable. So you'll also be able to see the daily schedule in the following places while on the Westerdam :
- Daily newsletter (delivered to your cabin each evening)
- Schedules posted throughout the ship (outside the major venues; elevator banks of Decks 2, 3, 9 and 10; and info screens located throughout the ship)
- TV channel 42 (viewable on any cabin TV)
- Helper Monkey Info Desk (Atrium, Deck 1 midship)
- PA Announcements (important daily events will be announced over the ship's PA because WE CAN DO THAT BECAUSE WE OWN THE BOAT)
Pack Your Passport!
Make sure your passports are with you when you leave for San Diego. You know how we worry.
Online Check-in
Reminder: If you haven't done so yet, please go through the HAL Online Check-in process . Each member of your party will need to complete online check-in and print their Boarding Pass no fewer than 72 hours prior to our departure on March 4th, 2017. Additional information can be found in our FAQ: "How do I check-in online for my cruise?"
Check Your Name Spelling
When going through HAL's Online Check-in process , please double-check that the spelling of everyone's first and last names listed in your booking matches what's on your/their passport/travel documents, and that the number of people in your booking is correct.
Our records indicate there's *|NumGuests|* guest(s) in your booking, with first and last names as follows:
- |ALLPAXNAME|*
If any changes must be made, please reply to this email as soon as possible. If another passenger's name is misspelled, please cc: them in your reply to us.
