THO's Site Visit Cruise
For those of you who are new to the cruise: each year, all of us from THO go on a "site visit," a sort of pre-cruise cruise. We sail on the ship (this year, the Nieuw Amsterdam , of course) to review our full program with all the different ship's departments—the Hotel Director, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Media & IT, Guest Services, Electrical, etc. etc. This very email has been written while onboard! I'm typing this sentence while looking at the ocean!
One "fun" result from this week's meetings: for both logistical and technical reasons, we have to move the Console Gaming area. While it was originally going to be up on Deck 10, Console Gaming will now be in the Billboard Onboard lounge on Deck 2 . (In the same space where the arcade cabinets had been the past couple JoCo Cruises.)
Of course, we literally just printed all our onboard elevator maps and the little foldable maps we hand out, so those will be incorrect, goshdarnit. But we hope that everyone, ourselves included, can work together to rise above this unfortunate cognitive dissonance.
Otherwise, in our down time, we've been visiting many important cultural sites...
